Westview

Mausoleum Row
Westview Cemetery is huge by any standards - 585 acres - as far as I can tell the largest greenspace in the city of Atlanta. It is one of the largest cemeteries in the Southeast and arguably the largest in Georgia. The new Georgia National Cemetery, dedicated in 2006, covers 775 acres, but only 330 acres will be developed for burials.

Westview was established in 1884 when Oakland Cemetery began to reach capacity. Many of Atlanta's most prominent citizens are buried here, including Asa Candler, founder of the Coca-Cola Company and Robert Woodruff, its longtime Chairman and great Atlanta philanthropist.

Over 100,000 people are buried at Westview and it is at less than 50% of capacity.
